One of my favorite hobbies is photography. I love capturing memories of my family and friend’s families. I am self taught and have enjoyed every second of it. I try and take classes here and there and I read A LOT on-line. It can be an expensive hobby, so I don’t own everything I would like. Sometimes it gets hard for me to haul my big DSLR camera and all the gear. For Christmas one year my husband got me a fantastic new camera bag. It’s really great for holding all of my camera stuff as well as any personal things. The problem is I still find it a bit cumbersome to take my “fancy” camera.
I end up using my phone camera a lot when on the go. As many of us know, phone pics just aren’t the same. When I started using Instagram, I was hooked almost instantly. I love the filters and they make almost any phone pic look better. I’ve also downloaded some other photo editing apps to help with all my phone pics, but I still didn’t think the edits were helping my images.
An awesome photography magazine I read is Click , published by Clickin Mom’s (a great website/blog for anyone wanting to learn from professional photographers and regular Mom’s like us who just like snapping pictures with the hope of getting a few nice ones). This is one of my magazines I read cover to cover because it’s full of information and tips. In the latest issue I came across an advertisement for a new photo editing app for your smartphone. The app is called Pic-Tap-Go. It’s contains full editing capabilities…everything from exposure to sharpening. It also has fun filters you can play with after you edit your photo to your own specifications. You can share you photo right to Facebook, Instagram, to your phone’s camera roll, or even email. If you develop a certain recipe for editing your photos, you can save it in your recipe folder, so it’s at your fingertips the next time you edit a pic. It’s super easy to use and I absolutely love it. I’ve included an example just so you can see how it looks. The one down fall is that it’s only compatible for Apple products, maybe soon it will be available for other smartphones.
Let me know if you try it out! It’s just one more technical thing to get addicted to:) Happy editing!
