Raise your hands if your family has gotten into the Elf on the Shelf bandwagon. I’ll be honest, I think these things are a bit creepy. I wasn’t sure how my son was going to take to this thing, especially since about a week before he announced to us that he didn’t even want Santa to bring us presents, he would rather have Willy Warhawk – the mascot for UW Whitewater – to bring his presents instead. We scrambled and have now developed a plan that the elf goes to Willy every night instead of Santa.
I’m struggling with the commitment to do something fun with the elf – who we named Krispy – every night. By the time it is time to go to bed, the last thing I am is creative. So, if you are having the same issue, here are a few ideas I’ve found to have fun with your elf and take the work out of the magic of the creepy elf.

The Inappropriate
My personal favorite is the innappropriate elf. I LOVEed Babies Rabies Inappropriate Elf contest last year. My favorite entry was from Emily at Design Her Mama.
I’m still not sure how this is all going to play out, but if you are also in need of ideas, click here to find a few great Pin Boards on Pinterest that may help you. What ideas have you used? Good, Bad, Inappropriate ideas accepted!
