New Food Fight Restaurant

The other night myself and a couple of girlfriends went for dinner and drinks at the new Food Fight Restaurant  in Middleton called craftsman table & craft. It’s a very family friendly restaurant and also very popular.  At 5:30 on a Wednesday night it was crowded and we had to wait about 20 minutes for our table.   I once heard Rachel Ray say that if a restaurant is crowded and there is a line you can probably bet on it being a great place to eat.  My husband and I have used this theory when traveling and not really knowing where to eat.  It is actually very true!  I heard craftsman table & craft was really good and has turned into a neighborhood hot spot, so I was curious to see what it was all about.

The atmosphere is very casual, laid back and a great place to go with friends and family.  The decor is very craftsman with rich wood and dark lighting.  The bar is large, but I did think the dining area seemed small.  They do have outdoor seating both on a patio and a roof top deck so when the weather is warmer I am sure those areas will be crowded as well.

I am not a wine connoisseur but I do enjoy a nice glass, from time to time.  My go to wine is a dry pinot grigio.  Craftsman does not have pinot grigio, so I tried a pinot gris which was fine but tasted more like a chardonnay, which I am not a fine of.

For dinner I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich with fries.  It was delicious.  It wasn’t a huge sandwich so it would have been a fine choice even on a date with someone.  One of my friends had the portabella sandwich and described it as, “YUM!”.

The service was great, the food delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for any night out.  I love all of the Food Fight restaurants and craftsman table & craft is now a new favorite.

They are open daily at 11:00 a.m.  Go check them out, you won’t be disappointed!

I was not asked by craftsman table & craft to review their restaurant.  This is just my opinion and I wanted to share with all of you.

About Jennifer

My name is Jennifer and I'm a stay at home Mama with a three year old daughter. I moved to the Madison area in the summer of 2002 and I married my best friend in the spring of 2005. I have an obsession for organizing and purging almost on a daily basis. If you ask my husband he wouldn't say this is one of my strong suits, since he can rarely find anything that belongs to him after I've gone on one of my rampages.

Some of my healthier hobbies are practicing yoga, photography, attempting to grow most of my own vegetables (in season), and dabbling into some small DIY projects with help from my new best friend Pinterest.

I joined up with some of my closest friends to blog about my life as a stay at home Mama, life in Madison, and any other rambling things that come to mind. I hope you enjoy reading about us. We all love coffee and wine, so whenever the mood strikes grab a glass of your favorite vino, or a cup of your favorite jo and read about what the Mamas Gone Madison are doing.
